The Project is immersed in the Pataz – Parcoy – Buldibuyo gold metalloid at its southern end.
The Pataz batholith has been historically characterized by the presence of gold deposits in mesothermal veins, also known as orogenic gold. It has been exploited since the Inca period and during the last 100 years. More than 16 underground mines distributed between Pataz, Parcoy, and Buldibuyo, have produced 15 million ounces of gold and its reserves are estimated at 40 million considering the entire belt (Haeberlin Y., 2018).
The Buldibuyo gold mine is a type of IRGS deposit (intrusion-related gold system, hosted in stockwork) and gold veins.
Current reserves of around 90,000 ounces of gold in veins. Potentially, 500,000 ounces of gold are expected to be determined.
Same material expectation in Stockwork: 40 million tonnes of ore at 1.5 g Au/t, which would give approximately 2 million ounces of gold.
In addition, in the area there are small miners who could supply the mineral they extract and process it in the 200 t/day benefit plant.
